cozy in the cold

There’s pretty much no excuse to wear a fur vest at home – so when we were in Utah, I absolutely had to wear one.

I’d been looking for one of these for over a year, but grappled with the price (there were a few at Bloomingdales and Nordstrom in the $200 range); I just happened to find this one at Target in the clearance section (who knows what I was doing in the clearance clothing section when I specifically went to Target for sparkling water and hair ties…). AND It was $17, so despite the fact that it’s a few sizes too big, I had to get it. I’m really glad I had the chance to wear it on vacation – it’s totally the quintessential ‘mountain vacation’ accessory.

Fortunately it wasn’t completely frigid when we first got to Park City (about 52º during the day), so we got to walk around jacket-less. The warmth didn’t last long, though … departure day left us with 15º temps, so we weren’t super bummed to be getting on a plane to SD.

Sweater: Vince | Vest: Target | Jeans: Madewell | Boots: Steve Madden

Hope you’re staying warm and cozy today! It basically snowed today in Huntington Beach so maybe dreams do come true and I’ll have more occasions to wear this vest here at home :)

xx,
Dominique
