🐾 . . to my sweet stella, who will never read this bc she is a dog and therefore illiterate, and who also does not understand the concept of gratitude but here we go anyway: . . @lizletchford and I, years ago, used to dream up and envision our “perfect day” and basically obsess over dogs. my ideal day always started with a morning beach or forest walk with my dog and my coffee. it was so clear in my mind but for whatever reason felt unachievable. and now it’s real! whaaaa #followurdreemz . now a year into being stella’s mom, I still have pinch-me levels of gratitude walking her on the beach with my coffee. and by walking her I mean observing her do zoomies, run away from me, join other families, play with other dogs, and splash in the waves. she is the *most* psyched to be at the beach. . stella is in training to be a therapy dog for children’s hospitals, but she’s truly been the ultimate therapy for me this past year, and has legitimately changed my life. y’all are prob like WE GET IT U HAVE A DOG, RELAX. aaaanyway yes I’m obsessed + I love her sm. and to my sweet little stella arwen violette von waffles, chicken nugget princess and baby bear: happy #gotchaday 🥰 I’m a week late but you don’t know the difference hooray!! . thank u to everyone who has contributed to my first year of dog motherhood. v blessed.
