Goooood morning! Combining months seems to be a reasonable approach at this stage in the game. Here are some gems I’ve found this past month that you should totally check out!
As mentioned in a post last week, I’m renovating! After being introduced to the digital design brand, Laurel & Wolf has given me one of the most unique and fun experiences I’ve encountered. It’s seriously awesome, and if you’re looking to redecorate or remodel, I’d highly recommend checking them out.
EquinoxI’ve never had a gym membership, and I’ve never really visited a gym, but once I set foot in Equniox on Pine Street in San Francisco, I knew I was in for a treat. My new fitness center is set in the old Pacific Coast Stock Exchange building, so you’re greeted by giant romanesque columns and vaulted ceilings, and the locker room is in A FRICKEN VAULT. There’s a ginormous vault door at the entrance. San Diego readers take heed: although there are no stock exchange buildings to be converted, there is an abandoned Vons in La Costa, and Equinox was like, “yeah, this’ll prolly work.” Get excited because the Kiehl’s-wielding, eucalyptus-towel-shilling, designer status gym is coming to Carlsbad this spring. I’m actually pretty jealous bc it’s going to be nice af. Hit up Marissa for details and tell her I sent you.
Dermalogica Multi-Active Toner
Let me just start by saying: this stuff smells AMAZING. So, so good. With lavender, balm mint and arnica, the toner mist is as soothing as it is effective. I’ve added it to my routine thanks to the Fab Fit Fun winter box I received last month, and it has been an ideal addition to my skincare routine.
POPSUGAR Fitness
I’ve been starting to publish stories on POPSUGAR Fitness! I put together a little gift guide for Valentine’s Day, which has even more products I love. Check out my author page to see how much I love Cassey Ho and Gina Rodriguez and Pure Barre. Also, I didn’t write this, but this article about a guy going to Pure Barre is the funniest sh*t I’ve ever read.
Patagonia Nano Puff HoodyThis is me following up on my last post: YES. IT IS WORTH IT. The thing came overnight practically from Massey’s Outfitters (and was $50 off). Although there are a bunch of cute colors, I opted for black, not because I’m a boring basic bitch, but because I’m cheap, and when I’m dropping that much money on a product, I want it to go with EVERY. SINGLE. THING. I WEAR.
What I love most about the hoody is that 1) it’s warm af. SO WARM. for example, I sat on the uncovered back of the Ferry โ which I learned is a form of public transportation on a boat โ in the frigid rain, by myself, wind in my face, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past, wait what was I saying? Oh yes I was on this freezing cold boat deck but I was totes chillin in my Patagonia. I AM SO SAN FRANCISCO NOW YOU GUYS. 2) It really does go with everything: activewear, jeans, under a snow jacket โ it’s seriously versatile, and I really honest to goodness think I’m getting my money’s worth, or at least that’s what I’m telling myself over and over at night as I reflect on my empty checking account while I’m falling asleep.
Turmeric Milk
So I did a roundup of Turmeric recipes; as some of you already know, turmeric has a ton of health benefits. It’s a powerful anti-inflammatory that can aid in weight loss and boost your immune system.
I improvised a turmeric milk recipe, with a generous pour of vanilla coconut milk, cinnamon, cardamom, ginger and turmeric. Shake up all the ingredients in a water bottle or blender bottle, and drink up โ it’s a sweet, guilt-free dessert or breakfast addition that’ll make you feel amazing.
Speaking of great things to drink, I’m obsessed with the new flavor of Vega One: Coconut Almond. Two of my favorite flavors in one? Yes please. Blend it up with some coconut or almond milk; or with coconut milk + half a frozen banana + a few ice cubes; or into a fruit smoothie.
MVMT WatchesA friend of mine introduced me to the awesome watch brand, MVMT. Check out their instagram, it is ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ
I love my black & rose gold one, but I’ve also got my eye on the light pink and mother of pearl versions.
One of my new favorite activewear brands is the sleek and stylish Alala. With loud prints and sexy silhouettes, it makes working out extra beautiful.
With some treats from Alan Walker, Mother Mother, Dominique (not me, unfortunately), and Charlie XCX, I think you’ll like this playlist quite a bit. If you don’t, sry baiiii.
Lake TahoeMy friends took me out to Lake Tahoe a couple weeks ago; I need to do a more in-depth post, but for now let me just say, I’m so happy to be so close to a little snow globe resort just a few hours away. I’m planning on learning how to ski next trip. Visit Heavenly resort and check out Driftwood Cafe for breakfast.

Have a great rest of the week everyone!

Dominique
