So I went with a friend Saturday morning to grab some coffee and we ended up snapping a few photos. JK we totally planned the whole thing, and I bribed him with coffee and breakfast at Don’s (Don’s Country Kitchen in the Carlsbad Village, or as I like to think of it, “the Cream of Wheat store,” because as a friend told me once, I eat like a six-year-old… or a 96-year-old… TBD).
He’s a talented photographer with no experience in fashion photography, and I’m a talented blogger (I mean I hope) with no experience in fashion blogging. So this was going to be a fun experiment. Oh, and it was 82 degrees and sunny. Thanks, San Diego.
Here’s my take on a ‘tee shirt and jeans’ ….. ;)
Why wear jeans and a tee when you can wear PINK jeans and a silky tee? It’s so much more fun, just as easy to throw on, and can work for so many occasions.
The top and pants are old, from Nordstrom Rack and H&M, respectively; $20 and $15 each. The shoes are pricey, though… Tory Burch Reva flats. I bought them about four years ago and I’ve worn the crap out of them! They’re elegant enough to dress up (I wore them to Dave’s sisters wedding with a DVF lace dress), but totally work for something more casual. If you’re planning on dropping some $$ on shoes, these are a great investment piece. They’re still on the TB website, and sometimes you can find them at Nordstrom Rack :)
Hope you’re having a delightful winter weekend!
xx,
Dominique
